At Palazzo Fava are shown over thirty masterpieces of Emilian masters,in an exhibition curated by Sergio Guarino ( an Historian of the Pinacoteca Capitolina in Rome ) all coming from the Bolognese hall which is inside the Capitoline Museums in Rome. The exhibition is held due to the restoration of the hall in the above mentioned roman museums, financed by Carisbo Foundation.
Along the walls, you will find the cycle of frescoes by Annibale, Agostino and Ludovico Carracci. These brothers painters along with some wonderful examples of final production of Guido Reni, Domenichino, Francesco Albani, Denis Calvaert and Sisto Badalocchio, are just some of the authors’ masterpieces on display.
During the end of the sixteenth and the first half of the seventeenth century, some historical, political and artistic connections between Rome and Bologna became indeed more and more solid.
