Here we are ! for telling you about this nice exhibition held in Piacenza to show life and masterpieces of Guercino, the great seventeenth-century’ italian painter. During the event, visitors, through an introduction with 3D viewers into a media room, will try an immersive experience; then will have a nearly unique opportunity to climb the Dome of the Cathedral of Piacenza, to see close the six spaces frescoed with images of the Prophets Haggai, Hosea, Zechariah, Ezekiel, Micah and Jeremiah, some episodes of childhood of Jesus , the annunciation to the shepherds, the adoration of the shepherds, the presentation in the Temple, the escape to Egypt, the eight fascinating Sibille and the frieze of the drum. At the same time, in the Ducal Chapel of Palazzo Farnese will be hosted an exhibition, which will present a selection of 20 masterpieces by Guercino, both sacred and profane.
